Beginning Wed., Mar. 18, the Los Gatos Union School District (LGUSD) Child Nutrition Services (CNS) program is offering families free breakfast and lunches at RJ Fisher Middle School for any child under 18 years old to combat issues arising from COVID-19-related school closures. Regardless of their enrollment at Fisher or in the LGUSD, any child under 18 is eligible for participation, including LGHS students.

Meals are available from 11 AM – 12 PM, Monday through Friday at a drive-through service. For each child present, families can pick up a lunch for that day, as well as a breakfast for the following day at the student drop off/pick up area on Roberts Road.

CNS organizers ask that children be present in the car in order for them to provide meals, and that participating members remain in the car while meals are passed out based on the number of children in the vehicle. The area is solely for meal pickup, and participants will not consume meals on site.

CNS also encourages families to continue their proactivity in reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19 by avoiding congregating at the school after meals have been passed out, continuing to wash hands often, sneezing or coughing into a tissue, and staying home if individuals feel sick.
