How to Stay Healthy During Quarantine:

Wake up at set time each day

Keeping your body on a schedule helps create a sense of normalcy. Waking up at a reasonable hour gives you plenty of time to get all of your work done.

Create A Daily Schedule

Every night, make sure to make a schedule for the next day. Write down when your classes are meeting, what assignments are due, when you are going to exercise, anything that you need to complete for the day. A daily schedule will hold you accountable.

Take Time To Exercise

The Department of Human Health and Services recommends that healthy adults spend “at least 150 minutes a week of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes a week of vigorous aerobic activity” (Mayo Clinic).

FaceTime Friends

Quarantine can get pretty lonely. Facetime your friends to keep your relationships strong without having to leave the house.

Get 7-9 Hours of Sleep

“Without sufficient sleep, your body makes fewer cytokines, a type of protein that targets infection and inflammation, effectively creating an immune response. Cytokines are both produced and released during sleep, causing a double whammy if you skimp on shut-eye.  Chronic sleep loss even makes the flu vaccine less effective by reducing your body’s ability to respond”(SleepFoundation.org).
