Dust off your American flag Chubbies and flower crowns; this year’s Spring/Summer concert season has officially begun. Whether you prefer small indie gigs or Shoreline country concerts, you will have no problem finding good live music this year.

Kenny Chesney & Jason Aldean at Levi’s Stadium on May 2: these two country superstars are kicking off the Bay Area country concert line up at the luxurious new 49ers stadium in Santa Clara. Tickets are available on livenation.com starting from around $50.

Never heard of them? Check out American Kids by Kenny Chesney and Don’t You Want to Stay by Jason Aldean.

Lana Del Rey with Courtney Love at Shoreline Amphitheatre on May 20: see the mysterious indie pop star, along with Kurt Cobain’s widow, live while she’s still on tour! Lana Del Rey rarely tours and likely won’t be returning to the Bay Area until she releases new music. Get your tickets as soon as possible, re-sale tickets are going to skyrocket as the date approaches. Never heard of them? Check out Video Games by Lana Del Rey and Mono by Courtney Love.

Live 105’s BFD at Shoreline Amphitheatre on June 6: make the first Saturday of Summer one to remember at this annual Bay Area music festival. Come see 36 bands, such as Modest Mouse, Of Monsters and Men, Panic! at the Disco, Cold War Kids, and Atlas Genius, play across four different stages. BFD truly appeals to the masses: EDM-fanatics have a secluded tent where they can rave as much as they want, while indie fans can enjoy local bands, trendy alternative rock bands, and household names such as the Cold War Kids.

Plan on going? Check out some of the lesser known bands such as: Best Coast, Yelawolf, Misterwives.

Taylor Swift with Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes at Levi’s Stadium on August 14: celebrate the end of summer with the queen of country-pop, along with Riptide Singer, Vance Joy, and popular Viner, Shawn Mendes. Taylor is finally returning to the Bay after releasing a critically acclaimed pop album featuring hits such as Blank Space and Style.

Never heard of them? Check out Style by Taylor Swift, Riptide by Vance Joy, and Stitches by Shawn Mendes.

Ingrid Michaelson with Jukebox the Ghost and Greg Holden at the Fox Theater on June 13. World renowned singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson is returning to the Bay after her single “Boys Chase Girls” reached massive success. Supporting her are Jukebox the Ghost, an indie pop trio, and Greg Holden, the musician who co-wrote Phillip Phillips’ hit, Home.

Never heard of them? Check out You and I by Ingrid Michaelson, Girl by Jukebox the Ghost, and Hold on Tight by Greg Holden.

Shoreline Country Megaticket: Everyone in Los Gatos knows about the Shoreline country concerts, but not everyone knows about the beauty of a megaticket. This ticket includes seven country shows at shoreline, including Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, and Toby Keith. Some people shy away from the commitment of buying a megaticket, but the tickets come separately, allowing ticket-holders to resell individual tickets.

It would be simply impossible list all of the Bay Area Spring/Summer concerts, so if you still aren’t satisfied, head on over to livenation.com to find when your favorite artists are coming to the Bay Area and buy face value tickets (cheap and reliable tickets as they come directly from the vendor).
