It is easy to become frustrated with what can easily be perceived as our parents’ attempts to treat us like children, and easy to shut them out. FAA changes electronics rule
As of Oct. 31, the Federal Airlines Administration (FAA) agency now permits passengers to use approved electronic devices gate-to-gate. This signifies that travelers no longer have to turn off their iPods, tablets, or other non-cellular devices during takeoff and landing.

Typhoon devastates the Philippines
On Friday Nov. 8, Typhoon Haiyan, known as Yolanda in Asia, struck the Philippines. It was accompanied by 235-mph winds and twenty feet of tidal surge. Early estimates suggest that Haiyan caused at least 10,000. In addition, the United Nations reported that the disaster displaced as many as 660,000 people.
