Almost 40 years ago, the infamous 1983 missing persons case of Emanuela Orlandi took Italy by storm when the fifteen year old girl never returned home after her flute lesson. The teenage girl’s case, although cold for years, gained traction with the Italian media after the four-part Netflix documentary series “Vatican Girl” popularized her story.
