During New York Fashion Week, Kate Spade debuted their 2019-Spring Fashion collection. The company honored their beloved founder, Kate Spade, who passed away in June, by placing blush-pink notes on every chair. The notes read, “She left a little sparkle everywhere she went. In loving memory 1962-2018.”
The runway was covered in bright, bubbly colors! New creative director, Nicola Glass, incorporated bright florals and spades into the collection. Purses were braided with the iconic logo and woven into fabrics. Bright color combinations, patterns, and a variety of fabrics added an extra playful touch to the collection. The iconic company debuted their new handbag design, a crossbody bag, secured with interlocking spades. Flowy yellow dresses, ink floral trench coats, and patterned floor length gowns stole the show. Yellow, pink, and olive green were core hues in the collection.
