1)I feel like Los Gatos prepared me for college as well as any high school could have, but, that being said, college is probably a million times harder if you choose to challenge yourself. I think because I didn’t go very far away, the transition was much easier than it could have been. That being said, it’s weird living in a 15 x 10 room with someone you don’t know at all. At the end of the day it was a fresh start, and although it was really scary, and I miss home sometimes, I’m happy I am where I am. 2)Life is definitely stressful, because we are on the quarter system. Everything goes by extremely quickly, but it’s also nice because we get to take more classes and learn a lot more. The stress makes you bond with your classmates and dorm-mates much more, because you all struggle through and somehow survive all together. I think being a part of a freshmen dorm is amazing because we have so many cool bonding activities. We actually just had screw-your-room where your roommate sets you up on a blind date and you go do something as a dorm. We went to sky high and it was amazing! 3)I enjoy the people the most, closely followed by all of the amazing opportunities available. I think I finally am clicking with people I relate to on numerous levels, and they are very different relationships than the ones I had in high school. The opportunities are also fantastic! In fact, first quarter the 2014 nobel prize winner in chemistry taught our class one day, and it’s crazy to think of how many phenomenal people and projects are happening on campus.
