On May 18, Round Two of the NHL playoffs came to an end. This round was full of energy and enthusiasm as teams struggled to win another game and make it to the Stanley Cup Final.
The LGHS varsity boys volleyball team put on a very strong showing at the Willow Glen Tournament on Mar. 22. They were firing on all cylinders as they won three matches on their way to finishing second out of twelve teams.

From a team of forty, the hopes and dreams of an entire sisterhood lay in the hands of seven. Seniors Marcia Lewis and Jamie Leong and juniors Keats Iwanaga, Mhairi Finlayson, Kathleen Humphries, Melina Moore, and Kaitlyn McLaren took the field for the last time this season, prepared to dive and die for a single goal.
This season, the Los Gatos Field Hockey team managed to go undefeated for 15 season games and three post-season games, winning the CCS Championship for the first time since 2010. El Gato News interviewed the captains of the team, Seniors Jamie Leong and Juniors Keats Iwanaga, Melina Moore, and Kaitlyn McLaren to get an inside look on the leaders of one of the most successful teams LGFH has seen in years.
