Athlete and freshman Eleanora Tremblay is making the most of her first year at Los Gatos High School, taking on advanced classes, a hectic sports schedule, and various leadership roles. Tremblay’s determined spirit and work ethic is prominent in every endeavor.
Tremblay is an active participant in two school sports: field hockey and lacrosse. As a midfielder on both teams, Tremblay proves herself to be a viable asset, providing a reliable link between offensive and defensive players. Kicking off her first lacrosse season on the LGHS team, she secured a starting spot on varsity. Because it is rare for a freshman to play on varsity in such a competitive environment, this is a particularly impressive achievement. This fall marked Tremblay’s first field hockey season, sparking a new chapter in her athletic career. Her pursuit of new passions reflects her bold athletic spirit, as she has learned to love both sports and the lessons she takes away from them.
Beyond sports at the high school, Tremblay has been playing lacrosse since first grade and participating at the club team level since she was ten. This year, she is competing for the Alliance National team. As Alliance National is based in Los Angeles, Tremblay travels to practice in LA and San Diego twice a month. Additionally, she will be traveling year-round to tournaments across the country, demonstrating both her love and commitment to lacrosse.
Away from the field, Tremblay immerses herself in her academics, learning to manage her time between schoolwork and athletics while maintaining a strong work ethic. Her schedule includes Biology, French, Health and Fitness, Precalculus Honors, English, and Leadership. Although excelling in math, she remarked, “My favorite class is French because I like the creative aspects it poses.”
Aside from her academic classes, Tremblay is an active member of the LGHS Leadership team. She is currently part of the Community Commission, which recently organized visits to Fisher and C.T. English middle schools. There, they met with students and shared anecdotes about different aspects of high school and the Leadership class. Tremblay has also been a part of the Dance Commission and Student Store, where she learned to organize and plan school events, as well as work with product production and profits.
Balancing two sports seasons along with her packed school schedule has helped Tremblay improve her time management skills significantly. She explained that her various commitments have taught her to “be resourceful and aware of time, while being dedicated to something and working really hard to persevere through challenges.” Tremblay excels throughout her school environments and athletic pursuits, while maintaining a positive mindset that guides her toward success.
