Despite already missing her free and careless summer routine, sophomore Sofya Kavalenka is beyond thrilled to start her first year in El Gato as one of the Culture Editors. Aside from Barnes & Noble and Great Bear Coffee, you can spot her stressing over AP Euro and essay theses in the Los Gatos Library. Off duty, this wannabe overachiever is often busy with leadership work, or trying to finish the five sewing projects she started over the summer. Fueled by iced coffees alone, Kavalenka hopes to avoid the infamous sophomore slump.
