On Dec. 6, Los Gatos held one of their most famous holiday traditions, the tree lighting ceremony in the heart of downtown. While lighting the tree is the star of the show, other activities took place at the park. Among these activities were a performance by the Fisher Middle School chamber orchestra, a light performance, and story walk. After the tree lighting the Fisher choir performed, followed by a surprise visit from Santa. This is just one of the many holiday activities Los Gatos hosts, among them being the Christmas parade where local businesses showcase collections and both dance and choir teams perform. The tree will stay lit for a few days after Christmas. Then it will be retired until the next holiday season.
