On Monday, Nov. 4, a small plane made an emergency landing on Highway 85. The plane caused traffic delays for hours, closing off three lanes and leaving only the left-most lane open for morning commuters. According to the California Highway Patrol, the aircraft landed at around 7:00 AM due to low fuel. Luckily, there were no casualties. The Highway Patrol spent four hours dismantling the aircraft and removing it from the highway. The pilot and only person in the plane, Peter Conway, later confirmed he was flying from his hometown Carmel to Palo Alto. The Federal Aviation Administration is now investigating the incident.
