The Santa Clara County Office of Education held its annual Teacher Recognition Celebration on Oct. 21 at the Campbell Heritage Theater. During the event, they honored Teachers of the Year from each of the county’s 31 school districts. Additionally, several teachers received sponsored STEM and arts awards. Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District teachers Joel Tarbox and Mike Taylor received an arts leadership award and the Teacher of the Year award, respectively. Preceding the official ceremony, teachers, family, and friends enjoyed catered snacks accompanied by a local middle school woodwind quartet.
