Electives make all the difference in a student’s life. They serve as a chance to express your passions, explore your interests, or even learn a new skill. Every student takes them for fun or for credit. Los Gatos High School (LGHS) just released the elective list for next fall, so why don’t we take a quick look at some of the best electives coming soon to LGHS?

AP Napping Techniques: The first elective on the list and my personal favorite: Advanced Placement Napping Techniques dives into the wonderful world that Intro to Napping Techniques (ITNT) starts. A college-level class available to juniors and seniors, AP Advanced Napping Techniques (APANTs) focuses on many complex techniques such as micro-napping, restorative rest periods, and circadian rhythm manipulation.  These methods are designed to help the students of LGHS be more efficient and make it through other Advanced Placement classes without being chronically sleep-deprived. APNT is a safe space for all things napping, and while the passing rate on the exam is quite intimidating (~5%), it is perfect for any student itching for a challenge. Intro to Procrastination: Do you ever feel like you have too much time? Need help wasting it? Then Intro to Procrastination is perfect for you. Intro to Procrastination is the most efficient way to put off any work offered at this school. The grading works on a late system. Assignments completed more than a day before the deadline results in an automatic zero. If an assignment is completed by the deadline, a fifty percent grade is achieved, and anything after the deadline is an easy one hundred. Intro to Procrastination helps students find the perfect balance between efficiency and total sloth. Enjoy a bit of a break and take things slow with Intro to Procrastination.
