Summer concert season is coming to an end

It’s the end of the summer and bands and artists are wrapping up their live shows. Before the top bands of the year end their tours or begin a new one, make sure to buy tickets to upcoming shows before they sell out! Here’s a recap of what you’ve missed and what’s to come:

The tenth anniversary of Outside Lands took place on Aug. 11 through Aug. 13. Attendees had the opportunity to purchase passes for either just one or all three days of the festival. Over 70 bands and artists came to perform, such as Cage the Elephant, Metallica, The Who, Lorde, Vance Joy, and Tove Lo. The festival provided constant music as well as food stands, water stations, ATMs, and many other public services necessary for the guests.

On Aug. 11 Sam Hunt came to Shoreline Amphitheater to perform as part of his 15 in a 30 tour. With openers Maren Morris with Ryan Follese and Chris Janson, Hunt performed top hit Body Like a Back Road to the crowd who immediately sang along once they heard the first few notes of the song.

OneRepublic also came to Shoreline on Aug. 26. After over ten years of being a band, OneRepublic decided to go on tour once again, playing their most recent album Oh My My. They also had artist James Arthur and band Fitz and the Tantrums join them on stage as openers.

Imagine Dragons is set to come to the Bay Area on Oct. 3 also at Shoreline Amphitheater. Set to play their album Evolve from July with openers Grouplove and K.Flay, Imagine Dragons will also mix in some of their fans’ all time favorites like Radioactive, On Top of the World, Demons, and more.

On Oct. 4 Coldplay will come to Levi’s Stadium for their Head Full of Skies Tour. They will have Alina Baraz and Tove Lo open for them. They will also play some of their classic songs from 2002 up to 2014 like Clocks, Viva la Vida, A Sky Full of Stars, Paradise, and others.

Luke Bryan will come to Shoreline on Oct. 14 with openers Brett Eldredge and Granger Smith. Performing his album Light It Up on his “Huntin’ Fishin’ and Lovin Everyday” tour.

The Weeknd performs at Oracle Arena on Oct. 8 for their “Starboy: Legend of the Fall” tour. With no opening acts, The Weeknd will perform their most popular songs: Starboy, I Feel It Coming, The Hills, and Can’t Feel My Face.

With more concerts coming in the next few months be sure to get ahead and buy your tickets now before the show sells out.
