1) The classes that I took at Los Gatos High School were key to my success in my first year of college at Seattle University. One class especially, AP English with De Soto, was crucial to boosting my writing skills before heading off to Seattle. My major at SU is Humanities for Leadership, which heavily relies on good writing, reading, and speaking skills, and I feel like I was ready, given my experiences at LGHS. 2) I lived in Los Gatos my whole life, so transitioning to life in a big city was overwhelming at first, but so crucial in my development at as a young adult. There is an endless amount of great things to do in Seattle, and I try to get out and experience it as much as possible, especially the live music scene. 3) I’ve really enjoyed the friendliness and openness that Seattle offers. People here aren’t afraid to show their true selves, and that is definitely something I’m not entirely used to. Furthermore, my professors and peers are so passionate about the pursuit of knowledge, which has been really inspiring.
