Random Acts of Kindness

On Fri., Dec. 12, LGHS’ Random Acts of Kindness Club went caroling in LG for cans to donate to Second Harvest in order to feed the underserved this holiday season. Club president senior Elizabeth Von Klan organized the small, but confident group to collect 50 cans of food.

Von Klan commented, “It started off a little shaky. The first house we went to we asked, ‘Can we sing for you?’ And he said, ‘Don’t. We’re eating dinner.'” Despite their initial rejection the four girls; Von Klan, senior Emma Casey, senior XinNi Chai, and sophomore Anna Goldman; had a successful night spreading holiday spirit in their town.

The Random Acts of Kindness Club plans one event per month to give back to the community in small ways. “The club is perfect for students who want to contribute to the community, but don’t want a big time commitment,” stated the president. Currently, Von Klan is looking for a successor to continue the mission of her club after she graduates this year.
