Tanya Chang enters her second year in El Gato as a Culture Editor, looking forward to writing, editing, and bringing stories to life. If you don’t find her on the pitch playing field hockey or attempting to teach an uninterested group of kids how to play volleyball, she can probably be found at the library organizing her dry-erase markers for an ultimate study session (disclaimer: she did, in fact, get distracted). When the workload starts to pile up, her usual shrimp tacos from Nina’s Taqueria are sure to get her through one of high school’s hardest years. As she takes on her new role, Chang is excited to cover the countless shows, songs, and artists that keep everyone talking.
