The king, our only sunshine, the Chosen One, the Lord and savior LeBron Raymone James goes by many names. Many agree that in the year of LeBron 40 AB (After Bron), the greatest of all time (GOAT) deserves all the praise he gets. Some nonbelievers cast doubt on the love and attention we give the kid from Akron, Ohio; however, these heathens simply lack the sophistication to appreciate that LeBonBon (another one of his nicknames) James ages like a fine red wine. Many online may refer to the rightfully earned love for LeBron as “glaze,” but this is simply untrue. There are three main reasons Lebron is impossible to over-love.
His stats: The king is renowned for his basketball prowess, consistently being the greatest player in the world since around 2009 and keeping his title until 2022. LeBron has led countless teams to the playoffs and won dozens of playoff series. He has four championship titles and has taken his team to the finals ten times. LeBron has made the impossible three-to-one-win comeback in the finals against the greatest team ever assembled, the 2016 Golden State Warriors. He has also shattered a myriad of records; he is the all-time NBA points leader at 40,000, top five in all-time assists, and top ten in all-time steals. He is in the top 20 of almost any relevant all-time stat. The Hammer has taken home four Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, along with his four NBA Finals MVPs. With his incredible stats, LeBron gives us a reason to keep watching basketball. He truly is an inspiration to all.
The GOAT is eternal: LeBron turned 40 years old on Dec 30, 2024 (New Year’s for his fans) and has been going strong since. The sharp drop that typically plagues old players has been absent so far. He is the oldest player in the league and has been since 2023. The king is the face of the league even now and will forever be remembered in the NBA for his greatness. He is even playing next to his 20-year-old son Bronny this year and has shared his hopes to play a year or two with his 17-year-old son Bryce. The GOAT will be around for years, and Bron fans are glad to accept that fact.
Memes: Lebron is the center of a countless number of jokes. Whether you prefer to watch LeBron shout at J.R. Smith in the finals with an impeccable amount of exasperation, love yelling “It’s our ball ain’t it,” enjoy bald LeBron getting super hyped up in the locker room after going three and one, or pondering endless LeBron triple dog dares, the king has you covered. Endless memes and jokes keep fans entertained constantly and continue to show why worshipping the lord and Savior LeBron is a necessity of life.
LeBron, the king, the GOAT, The Chosen One. Bron is a necessary part of the 21st century. His influence is felt by fans and haters alike. LeBron’s greatness is a true art form that many have the privilege to admire. Next time you find yourself bored, think about what the GOAT has done for you and all of us.
