If you are anything like me, indecisiveness is your biggest enemy. In fact, your problem might be so bad that if you were forced to pick between your least favorite activity and making a decision, you would probably choose the activity. Oh, wait. That is a decision, too. Well, maybe you would choose the activity over the decision if it did not involve a decision between the two…? Do you see the issue? Indecisiveness is rough, but fear no more. I have some top-notch hacks for conquering decisions.
Using the Radio: Modern-day music apps can be so stressful to navigate. I mean, you literally have to pick which songs you want to listen to. To eliminate daily music decisions, opt for the classic and timeless radio. Simply click a button and crank up the volume and you are set. No need to scroll through your favorite songs, struggling to find one that perfectly fits the moment’s vibe. Radios decide for you, and if you do not like the song it chooses, blame it on the radio. Radios: no stress, no hard feelings, and best of all, no decisions.
Just Keep Driving: Ah, yes, the most dreaded question of all: “Where do you want to eat?” This question requires far more than a surface-level decision. It forces you to delve into your true feelings and examine the dark depths of your mind. What is it you really want? What will others think of your choice? This seemingly simple question can make or break your day. Here is my advice: just keep driving. Now, this may sound counterproductive, but I am a strong believer that by driving around aimlessly, you will wind up where you need to be. Eventually, hunger will hit you so hard that it forces you to get food from the nearest location. There you go: another decision made without having to decide anything. Just keep driving and you will end up where you are meant to be.
Close Your Eyes: Getting up in the morning is a struggle, but choosing a school outfit is even worse. Even though there are countless chances to wear your clothes, it is nearly impossible to decide which outfit belongs with which day. After all, you do not want to waste a perfectly good outfit on an uneventful day. Instead of stressing over wasting a clothing ensemble, remember that clothes are in fact washable, and each outfit will get multiple times to shine. Set out your clothes, close your eyes, and assemble your fit based on chance. Who cares if it does not match! Anything beats having to pick. Close your eyes, because if you do not see your decision, it is not your responsibility.
Don’t Make a Decision: Finally. It’s the ultimate hack. The one that eliminates decisions altogether. It’s called — drumroll please — don’t decide! Hear me out: if you do not decide, life decides for you. Thinking about making the switch to Statistics from Calculus? Well, if you are not sure which is better for you, ignore the decision and let life decide. Looks like you are still in Calculus, so what does it matter if you are not cut out for the course? Do not make a decision. Let life take the wheel and see where you end up.
I hope you enjoyed these original, trademarked, and highly professional solutions to your plague of indecisiveness. Cheers to a decision-free life!
