On Aug. 26, Duncan Park McQuarrie, a 39-year-old man from Orlando, Florida killed two people. McQuarrie was driving under the influence on the wrong side of Highway 85 and crashed into the Tesla of 46-year-old Rebbeca Olsen and her 14-year-old son, Charlie, killing them. The San Jose Police Department is charging McQuarrie for two counts of murder and he will be held without bail. District Attorney Jeff Rosen expressed his sympathy for the family, stating, “To imagine the senselessness of this crime, the recklessness of it, and the tremendously horrible impact that it’s had on this family is, I think, what’s moved many of us about this particular case.”
