On Dec. 4, the faculty at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, organized a walkout to support the California Faculty Association (CFA) in their strike for better pay and benefits. The CFA represents around 29,000 workers in the California State University system —which includes coaches, counselors, lecturers, and librarians —who serve roughly 460,000 students in the nation’s largest four-year university system. The next day, faculty at San Francisco State also walked out; California State University, Los Angeles had a work stoppage on Dec. 06, and Sacramento State began their strike on Dec. 07.
