The annual Los Gatos Fantasy of Lights is back in town until the end of December. The event is open from 4:00pm to 8:30pm, the gates officially close at 9:00. This exciting event had busses and shuttles lined up around the block with LG residents and visitors from the next town pouring out wanting to experience the lights. Sara Clara County did an amazing job for its 25th year of walk-through lights. When you first walk in there are tons of large animated displays of Santa and his Reindeer, as well as vendors selling hot chocolate and churros. The whole display is 1.5 miles long one way with multiple different sections focusing on food or music. The park has over 50 themed displays as well as a 90-foot twinkling tree that will have you in awe.

First introduced in 1999, the festival has slowly become a cherished holiday tradition among many families. The popular displays are of dinosaurs playing near an erupting volcano, the 3-D flower garden, and the huge tunnel swirling with multi-colored lights.

It takes about half an hour to drive through the entire display. Most will be snuggled up in their car blasting Christmas music through the holiday radio station, 107.9, while enjoying the fantasy. Nick S., a regular at the festival, exclaims how special this event is for his family, “Three generations of our family enjoyed this event. It was our first time doing the drive-thru lights and it exceeded our expectations.” he said, “The lights were really beautiful and they created several cool and interesting scenes”.  Fantasy of lights is located at 333 Blossom Hill Road, Los Gatos and it is a great activity for the upcoming holiday season.
