Almost two weeks after a fatal car accident off Highway 1 in Davenport on Feb. 16, the Santa Cruz County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 37-year-old Alex Morgan Stoll. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that about a mile and a half north of Highway 1, Stoll, who was driving a Mazda MX-5, ran off the road, hit a utility pole, and fell down a 100-foot ravine. Additionally, the CHP announced that paramedics found two people at the scene by the vehicle, but it is still unknown whether the victim was the passenger or the driver. Authorities continue working to investigate what caused the crash.
