On Mar. 6, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that a special independent Canadian task force will investigate possible Chinese interference in recent Canadian elections. Trudeau’s task force follows leaked reports from Canadian intelligence detailing China’s Communist Party’s failed interference in the last two Canadian federal elections. While Trudeau has yet to reveal the official investigation committee, he mentioned that he would be asking members of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians to lead the inquiry.
