On Tuesday, Mar. 7, an explosion in Dhaka, Bangladesh, killed at least 19 and injured over 100 more. The blast, in the city’s historic old quarter in the middle of a busy commercial district, was exceptionally deadly as it occurred at 5:00 PM, at the end of the work day. Officials reported that the death toll is likely to rise. Investigations into the explosions are underway, with initial reports indicating it was caused by an accidental gas leak. This comes on the heels of two other gas-leak related explosions in Dhaka in the past 48 hours.
