In Pescadero, thousands of elephant seals fill the air with the sound of their deep vocalizations and flock to the hidden haven of Año Nuevo State Park. From Dec. 15 to Mar. 31, visitors can take advantage of guided tours. With a knowledgeable docent to accompany and inform them, park goers can see the seals lounge on sand dunes, splash around in the water, battle one another, and take care of their new-born seal pups.
