Christine McVie Dies at 79

Christine McVie, vocalist, songwriter, and keyboardist for Fleetwood Mac, died on Nov 30 at 79. McVie wrote some of the band’s greatest hits, including You Make Lovin’ Fun, Hold Me, and Don’t Stop, which peaked at number three on Billboard’s Top 10. Her family announced her death in a statement on Facebook, which said she “passed away peacefully at hospital this morning” with family around her after a “short illness.” The band also reported her death on their social media, writing, “She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure.” Over her career, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee McVie received five gold, one platinum, and seven multi-platinum albums with Fleetwood Mac.(Sources: NY Times, Rolling Stones, BBC)
