On Oct. 30, soccer lovers from all around the Bay Area welcomed 17 Federation International Football Association (FIFA) delegates to Levi’s Stadium in a bid to make the 49ers’ field a select venue for the 2026 World Cup. The Cup will take place in Mexico, the U.S., and Canada, and will feature around 17 stadiums across the three countries. With so few spots on the roster, it will be difficult — though not impossible — for Levi’s to host a few games.
