Monday
Spirit week kicked off with Pajama Day with students rolling out of bed and right on to campus. Robes, blankets, fuzzy pants, and slippers covered the spirited students of LGHS. In the small gym during lunch, the classes competed in a game of knock out. The seniors took first, followed by the freshmen, then juniors in third, and sophomores in fourth.

Tuesday
On Tuesday, the school divided, representing the coasts of the country in the day’s theme of East Coast vs. West Coast. High fashion and preppy clothing stood out from the beach attire of other students. In the day’s lunchtime dance battle, the seniors took first place, followed by the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen, respectively.
Wednesday
The third day of Spirit Week went wacky, with a dress up day revolved around fashion disaster. Students broke out their best socks and sandals duo, neon colors, bucket hats, and pattern on pattern ensembles. On the front lawn, classes battled out in a game of dodge ball. Juniors won, followed by seniors, sophomores in third, and freshmen got fourth.
Thursday
All around campus on Thursday students strut around sporting their favorite sports team apparel for jersey day. For the first time ever, LGHS held games of inflatable jousting for the lunchtime games. The seniors won first place in the battle, followed by the juniors, sophomores, and lastly, the freshmen.

Friday
Friday is the day all of the classes divide into their grade appropriate colors: freshmen wore green, sophomores wore blue, juniors wore orange, and seniors wore black. The mix of colors filled the gym for the rally. After performances by band, cheer, and dance and competitions between the classes such as musical chairs, relay races, and tug-of-war, the ASB spirit reps announced the winners of the rally. The seniors won first place, followed by the juniors, sophomores, and then freshmen. The school’s lip dub was also put on a large screen for the school to watch together.
