Singer-songwriter Ella Langley is quickly gaining stardom in the country music world. With the release of her newest album, Dandelion, on Apr. 10, she is achieving even more remarkable success.

Langley released her debut album Hungover in August 2024. With it, she had many chart-topping songs, particularly You Look Like You Love Me in collaboration with fellow country artist Riley Green. The pair won three awards at the 2025 Country Music Association Awards and even more at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Langley also joined Green on his recent tour. She began releasing songs from her album on the tail end of the tour, capitalizing on the momentum from her newfound notoriety.

Dandelion consists of 18 songs, including an Intro and an Outro, which last for less than a minute each. The album reflects her personal growth and perseverance. The title Dandelion represents the plant as well as the fact that dandelion tea is often used to help repair one’s liver suffering from excessive alcohol usage. This is an extension of the themes mentioned in Hungover, offering a more mature perspective. Langley explained, “Dandelion is a natural next phase after Hungover. Hungover is what brought people to the table, and Dandelion is what makes them sit down and eat. This album explains who I am as an artist and as a person. It reflects on what made me this way while giving a glimpse of what’s next. It’s my favorite project I’ve ever done, it’s the most ‘me’ I’ve ever put out.”

Prior to the album’s release date, Langley released singles Dandelion, Be Her, and Choosin’ Texas. She wrote the title track in 2023 but waited to release it on this album. Its mellow music video complements the song’s passionate vocals and prominent guitar. Be Her’s catchy beat and repetitive vocals make it noteworthy and easy to memorize. Choosin’ Texas quickly took the spot as her number one song, formally held by You Look Like You Love Me, attributed to its upbeat sound.

The project’s 16th track, Butterfly Season, is a collaboration between Langley and country music singer Miranda Lambert. The song skillfully balances and highlights both of their talented vocals. In reference to the collaboration of this piece, Lambert commented, “[Langley] lives life in a big way and on her own terms. With this record, I wanted to honor her vision every step of the way…It felt important to help her make choices that stayed true to who she is as an artist.”

Each track has its own specialty that makes it worth a listen; other standout songs include Bottom Of Your Boots, Loving Life Again, and Broken. Due to her recent hits, Langley has a busy schedule ahead. She plans to play the main stage at Stagecoach, a country music festival in Indio, California, on Apr. 24. She also begins her tour titled The Dandelion Tour on May 7. Overall, Langley has achieved impressive success during the first few years of her career. Dandelion showcases Langley’s remarkable skills and excites fans with the possibility of her future hits.
