U.S. Representative from Oregon, Democrat Suzanne Bonamici, and U.S. District Judge Michael H. Simon were hit by a car in Portland, Oregon on Jan.13. The vehicle struck the couple in a crosswalk, leaving Bonamici with a concussion and cuts and Simon with minor injuries. As a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, working on the Education and Labor committee, and serving the 1st District of Oregon, citizens nationwide are sending Bonamici their support, wishing her a speedy recuperation. In light of her injuries, doctors expect the congresswoman to make a full recovery.
